Meet the Austin Team Behind Aspen Attic Insulation Austin

In Austin, attics punish crews that cut corners. Ours don’t, because we know each other too well to let that happen. The crew that rolls up to your house in Austin isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. It’s the same small group of people, most of whom have been pulling insulation together for years. We argue about lunch spots more than we argue about the work. What unites us is a simple agreement: the attic gets done right the first time, or we come back free. That’s the promise Garrett Sloane built in 2002, and it’s the one every person below signs their name to.

Our People

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been in attics around Austin for 16 years, and he’s seen every mistake a previous contractor can leave behind: batts stuffed backward, fiberglass barely covering the joists, spray foam that never cured right. He leads the technical side of every crew, which means he’s the one who walks the attic first, maps out the problem areas, and decides which of our eight material brands actually fits the house. He’s certified in spray foam application and thermal imaging inspection. When he’s not in a crawl space, he’s rebuilding a 1987 Chevy truck that has never once run correctly for an entire week.

Danny R., Senior Installer

Danny has worked with Marcus for nine years, and the two of them can finish a blown-in job in near silence because they both know exactly where the other one’s next step is. Danny owns the heavy lifting: hauling hoses up ladders, running the blower machine, and making sure the loose fiber fills every gap around can lights, plumbing vents, and framing. He’s the reason our attics look the way they do when we’re done, even and complete, with no thin spots along the eaves. Danny is also the crew’s resident fisherman, and he’ll tell you the white bass are hitting on Lake Travis. Whether that’s true varies from week to week.

Elena G., Service Coordinator

Elena is the voice you hear when you call Aspen Attic Insulation Austin. She joined us five years ago after working dispatch for an HVAC company, so she speaks both homeowner and technician fluently. She schedules every visit, coordinates with the Threshold Standard compliance check, and sends you the name and photo of your technician before anyone steps foot on the property. If your attic has moisture damage, she’s the one who rearranges the schedule so we can address it quickly. She keeps a running mental catalog of every home we’ve worked on in Austin, which is either impressive or mildly concerning. We choose to be impressed.

Sam W., Apprentice

Sam is the newest member of the crew, joining us two years ago with no insulation background and a very realistic fear of being handed the worst jobs. He’s the one pulling old, compacted fiberglass out of tight corners and hauling bags to the truck. He’s currently training under Marcus toward his own spray foam certification, and he’s already developed a strong opinion about which brands matter and which don’t. Sam’s claim to fame is that he has never once complained about a Texas attic in August. If that’s not a sign of long-term potential, we don’t know what is.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person above operates under the Threshold Standard, which is the name we put on the way our technicians behave before, during, and after the work. It means each tech is background-checked, identity-verified, and arrives in a clean marked uniform. It means you see their photo and name on your phone before they ring the doorbell, and they show a photo ID badge at the door when you answer it. If anyone else shows up, the visit is free and we make it right. The Threshold Standard also covers the paperwork: a written price before any work starts, always, and a written guarantee that lasts 365 days. If a repair fails within that year, the second visit is free. That’s not a marketing line. It’s how every location in the Threshold Group family has operated since 2002, and it’s how this crew operates every single day in Austin.
